All Knocked Up and No Where To Go

Someone gave me a great idea to blog about the next 9 exciting months of my life.  (Thanks mom)  So it all started on Christmas Eve.  I decided to TAKE THE TEST!!!  (...or 3)  The first one was a cheapo from the Greenbrier Grocery store.  I didn't know if I should trust it so I went to Wal Mart and bought 5 of the expensive kind.

I'm not very good at keeping secrets!!  Especially about my own life.  I like for everyone to know everything about me.  So I ran to Wal Mart and bought some onesies and fabric pens.  Then sped home to start drawing.

Braeden made one that says "I love my big brother" and he drew a picture of himself and the baby "boy" playing football.

Matt and I drew the ones for our parents that say "Baby Horton due in 2010"

Then we went and handed out our onesies to our parents.  First, I called my mom and asked her if I could come by for a second.  She kept turning me down.  So, I went to Grandma and Grandpa Treats house first.  (Matt's dad's parents)  They had a bunch of the family over for the Christmas holidays so we got to tell everyone at once.  Matt gave his dad the "package" to open and told him that we had accidentally left one of his presents at the house.  So Linda did the honors of opening it and they were soooo excited!!!  It was such a wonderful feeling knowing that they were happy about this!!  Then we went to Renee's house.  (Matt's mom)  She opened our "package" and didn't really know what to say.  I think she was shocked!!  After we left and she could take it all in she called and seemed really happy as well!!  Then I decided to just show up to my moms house because I thought this was important for her to know!!  So she opened her "package" and didn't say a word............hmmmmm.  The subject got changed a few times and we left after the awkward silence and I think later on that day she realized that this was a happy moment.  Now she is just as thrilled as everyone else is.  The crazy woman is going to plan a Gi Gi shower......for herself!!  Why doesn't this surprise me?!?!?!  Well there is one person left...my daddy!!  He and his girlfriend, Jen, Zoe, and Spencer came over that night to do our family Christmas.  We opened all our gifts and saved the best one for last.  Dad opened it up and was soo surprised.  He is so excited to be a Pop Pop!!

Up until last Wednesday I had been feeling just fine.  Then all of a sudden it was like I ran into a brick wall.  I couldn't get out of bed for the life of me.  Matt tried to make me pizza and chicken nuggets and there was NO WAY that was going in my mouth.  Just looking at the pizza made me gag.  So Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday I layed in bed and didn't get up for anything!!!  Saturday Renee came and picked up Braeden and took him to Playworld for a little while.  Thank God!!  I needed some rest!!  Once he got back it was just the two of us again.  The only way I was getting up was to make him something to eat or pour him a drink.  Braeden was such a HUGE help while I was sick.  He helped me clean up around the house, he picked up after himself, and he helped take care of the animals.  I am so proud of him!!  Then FINALLY it snowed!!  He couldn't wait to go outside and play in the snow.  He and Corkey played and played and ran and ran!!  They had a blast.

Well today is Wednesday...a week after the sickness began.  I am at work and feeling totally better!!  I realized yesterday I could eat ham melts from Arby's without gagging so thats what I'm running on for the next few days.

Stay tuned for updates of this wild crazy ride!!!
